Poet from Antofagasta, Chile. Lives in Sweden since 1977 and has become a cultural profile in Lund. He has published collection of poems in Spanish, Swedish, English and Polish.
I have had a close and long term collaboration with Rubén Aguilera in many cultural events. Since 2009 our collaboration has focused on the series Lock / Unlock.
As I have continued to develop the series, Rubén began working with his poems as images modifying his texts with words connected with the concept lock/unlock in red colour.
The next step for me was to work with collages based on my own paintings and photographs and fragments of Ruben’s modified texts. Rubén, on his end, started a series of short videos in which he mixes the images of my paintings and collages with his own voice declaiming his poems complemented with actions connected with the concept. |
